Who are you?
We are dads in Coles Crossing who joined together socially to improve our neighborhood through fund-raising and volunteering on projects big and small. We started with 13 members a few years back and now number just over 70.
What have you done so far?
We have awarded over $30,000 in Coles Crossing Dads Club Scholarships in the past few years to recent neighborhood graduates and will grant $10,000 in scholarships in 2025. We sponsored the Coles Crocs swim team five years in a row and have assisted with both the Fall and Spring Markets in Coles Crossing. We’ve helped with the Sampson gardens, the Sampson Fifth Grade Party and sponsored the Sampson PTO generally and past events specifically. We provided We have hosted five Coles Crossing BBQ Cook Offs - our signature event. Two years ago we supported A Hope for a Cure for Everett’s Eyes that with matching donations gave $10,000 for research into a retinal disorder that causes blindness and has affected a neighborhood boy. Last year’s BBQ assisted a neighborhood boy suffering with autism and epilepsy. This year’s BBQ profits will support the renovation of the inclusive playground at Sampson Elementary. We have also assisted individuals and families in the neighborhood in difficult situations.
